How the silver price works
Silver is traded in US dollars per troy ounce (31.1 grams). We convert the price to Swedish kronor per gram so you can work out the value of your items directly.
Swedish silver is usually 830 or, before 1912, 813H. Sterling 925 is common in jewellery. The value is the silver price times the purity times the weight, excluding steel blades, filled handles and stones.
